utvdriver posted this question, Has Sean fired back at Jon Stewart about his Common piece?, http://forums.hannity.com/showthread.php?t=2256041:
I didn’t get to catch Hannity the last 2 nights. Has he fired back about Jon Stewarts piece he did about the full lyrics and meaning of Common’s offensive songs/poems?
WildRose reported him for trolling, Troll Thread-Utdriver, http://forums.hannity.com/showthread.php?t=2256101.
Here is the deal.
Usually with threads like this I expect / hope our good members to, with reasonable debate, make mince-meat of the thread. However, the OP of this one did take it over the edge with the post that Gray provided a link to.
The thread is closed.
Utdriver has been promoted to driving the banned wagon.
So utvdriver was banned because he was a better debater than WildRose. The post which officially led to utvdriver’s ban:
So what about Lynyrd Skynyrd lyrics from “That smell”. Again, they tour with Hannity.
“…Angel of Darkness is upon you
Stuck a needle in your arm
So take another toke, have a blow for your nose…”
Do you now condemn Lynyrd and Hannity for promoting the devil and illegal drug use? You can’t have it both ways.
utvdriver had posted that in response to this from WildRose:
Common’s lyrics glorify the act of killing cops. The hypocrisy is in attempting to equate his statement to that of others as Stewart did.
The Cash Lyrics he compares to Common’s are from a song in which Cash’s entire point is that drug and alcohol abuse lead one straight to hell, and the last line of the song tells people not to follow the same path.
The hypocrites and liars are Stewart and those who claim he is right in this “piece”.
Lee’s final statement in that thread:
Hannity does not promote the devil or illegal drugs.
I am promoting you to the banned list.
utvdriver started a simple thread which was intellectually threatening to WildRose. However, the topic was well within the terms of service of the Hannity forum and utdriver remained polite throughout. Without making any accusations against Sean, he asked a question which pointed out the logical extension of WildRose’s accusations about Common. utvdriver did not say that Sean promoted the devil or illegal drugs. He did not imply it. He only implied that the logic WildRose used would lead to that accusation against Sean and he knew WildRose wouldn’t want to go there.
Logically that should have led to a concession from WildRose. Instead it led to a ban for utvdriver.
